Danielle: Why I Choose to Be Vegetarian

January 24, 2012

Every year in the US, billions of animals are slaughtered for food. Raising animals on factory farms is cruel and ecologically devastating. Eating animals is bad for our health, leading directly to many diseases and illnesses, including heart attacks, strokes, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. Being vegetarian helps Danielle have the energy to keep up with her busy lifestyle. For more info and a free vegetarian starter kit, check out www.GoVeg.com.

What breathes, reproduces, needs food, sunshine, water and air to live? PLANTS. When you pull plants from the ground they start do die. When you cut flowers, they die. Raise your bar on what is ALIVE people. How about we agree plants and animals are both alive and treat them both with respect, but allow whomever wants to consume either do so. To me, it is more about the mistreatment of animals. We can have both when we RESPECT both.

@curtmang Yes, people were created omnivores. Vegetarianism is a CHOICE people make. A good choice. If it’s not for you keep being an omnivore

Acteal97 January 24, 2012 at 1:07 am

@curtmang Plants do not have feelings and personalities, no.

We were created OMNIVORES, people!!! Which means we eat both plants and animals! Plants are living creatures too ya know!!! ;)

@corpsemunger We are a mix between Carnivores and Herbivores, due to the fact that we can’t eat all meat without cooking it, we have these teeth suited for consumtion of both types of food aswell, it’s a choice we all have, you can go ethier way. Just don’t force your way on a person, by using facts and opinions, that’s what’s unatural. Never seen a Lion force sheep into eating deer, or Sheep forcing a Lion to eat grass, have you?

DramaDon83 January 24, 2012 at 3:33 am

@corpsemunger Agreed…if it is natural for humans to eat animals then eat it raw…and I dont know if those little stubby canines are really canines, and if they are why dont they look like a dogs or cats?..

corpsemunger January 24, 2012 at 3:38 am

@Menga3145 ok by your logic… so we have canines, thats plus 1 for you.
In our body we have so many attributes that are ‘herbivorous’. For example all our gizzards curl around each other, so the tubes are very long. Carnivorous animals dont have that. There gizzards go practically from there mouth to there anus… so any bad bacteria gets out f the system quickly. We were born with canines yes, We HAVE to cook most meat, otherwise we get ill. That isnt really ‘natural’

humans are animals to

MangaFreakzoid January 24, 2012 at 4:40 am

Each life is equal. And to correct you, humans are animals. So you asked, ‘what is more important a animal or animal life?’. We are all equal.

Were definately monsters when we’re at the top of the food chain we decide to eat the most plentiful lifesource on the planet that has no shortage in sight, not even in the next 5,000 years. We’re monsters because we eat what God put on this Earth for us to eat. But I guess you don’t believe in God because this ‘God’ stands in the way of your beliefs, and anything that’s in the way of what you believe is right must be burned down. Let me ask you, what is more important a human or animal life?

AnimalTortureMustEnd January 24, 2012 at 5:14 am

Look at this.

It has to be easy, healthy and CONVIENENT to ‘not buy meat’

Isn’t the suffering enough to get us to stop… what kind of monsters are we?
