Make a vegetable stock instead.

Just leave it out.

There’s a product called “better than bouillion” that works and doesn’t contain MSG. You can also use a beef “flavored” soup base from your health food aisle that doesn’t contain beef or beef products. Otherwise, just substitute vegetable broth or veggie boillion. You can also add some worchestershire sauce or Marmite.

Vegetable Boullion… the brand I know is Knorr’s, but there are probably many others!

The answer above me is a good answer, that I noticed after posting this answer, but be advised worchestershire sauce contains anchovies.

I would use homemade vegetable broth instead. It’s cheaper, can be made from almost any veggie you have on hand, and it tastes better than the stuff you’d buy.

Boil your belt or shoes. I bet the cows that that leather came off of just laid down and died for your edification.

Go to harmony house foods on the internet. They have vegetarian bases for soup, including a beef substitute, and a good “Chicken” base. I have ordered from them and have always been happy with the quatlity and service. They also have a flat rate shipping of 5.95. Hope this helps.

I use mushroom stock. It has a lot of the heartiness of beef stock without the beef.
